Save your file as usual in WP. Then "Save As" using File Type "MS Word for Windows 97".
If you are using a Header or Footer they may have an extra line in the converted Word version. You can correct this by adjusting (re-formatting) your WP macro to whatever looks right after the conversion.
You may also experience a difference in page breaks, especially if you are using a forced page break to insert a Page Two header. You may need to load the print driver for their printer, even though you do not have the actual printer hooked to your computer. You simply load their print driver and set it as your default. (When you do need to print from your own WP file then manually select the printer that is actually attached to your computer.)
You can also correct page breaks manually by editing in Word (if you have the program.) WP is much more user friendly, so I prefer to type in WP and do any minor formatting edits after the conversion to Word. You can write a Word macro to insert the page breaks after the conversion, but you may need to post on the Word board for help with this.
Good luck!
