Not sure about F12 to "save". This is normally the SaveAs command. Did you rename the Custom.dic? Is it possible that the changes to the Custom.dic were not kept? Check the list again and see if it is still on the list. You will not "see" Stedman's on your list or anywhere on your computer for that matter. The Stedman terms are merged with the main dictionary that loads with Word/Office.
