I believe I have the macro you mention - AutoCorrect.dot. It does a terrific backup of everything, but if I run a restore it only replaces what already exists. It doesn't remove what I deleted in the file. In other words, if I do a backup and there are 10,000 entries, after I remove the entries I don't want and then do a Restore, there's no change. The removed entries are still there.
With what Normal.dot contains, yes, I know of the entries. What I get when I retrieve the document to the screen is a blank page. If I use the mouse to click on the vertical bar, it snaps down to the bottom and I still have a blank page. I don't understand why nothing appears, but I know the file is "functioning" correctly.
