Turning off bold for numbered list

Using Dictaphone EXText for transcription, which is based on MS Word 2003. An MT is asking about our OR template:

"Is there any way that the OR template format could be altered so that in the Pre-0p, Post-0p and Operation headings you don’t get BOLD every time you insert a hard return when making a numbered list?"

For example, Pre-Op Dx: and Post-Op Dx: are formatted for bold and then bold is turned off; however, when they do a hard return after the first line, item #2 ends up bold.

Pre-Op Dx: 1. Fibroid. (hard return done here)
2. Fibroid. (This line ends up in bold because Pre-Op DX is formatted for bold)

Post-Op Dx: 1. Fibroid. (hard return)
2. Fibroid. (This line ends up bold, as above)

The template looks like:

Pre-Op Dx: [*] (bold is turned off after Dx:)
Post-Op Dx: [*]
Operation: [*]

Note: There are tabs between Dx: and [*]

Any suggestions?
