expand non-ascii characters ? (to change ext. kbd map)

I am very interested by ITMobile, but for an application you may not have thought of. I just bought an external bluetooth keyboard for my Palm (tungsten T5), and it happens this keyboard has quite a poor mapping to my language.
Specifically, some accentuated characters have to be issued bia a very lengthy sequence, for instance an u with a circumflexe accent (ű, I don't know if it will pass here) must be typed as a sequence of u rapidly followed by alt-ctrl-circumflexe key (this key alone absurdly issues an isolated circumflexe character never seen in any language and never combines with the previous or next keypress).
I would be interested in ITMobile replacing the "spontaneous" sequence that all other keyboards do, ie circum. key then u, by the correctly accentuated u. I entered the edit mode, typed my u-circumflexe, and then jumped to the input field at the bottom. Alas! Apparently this field only expects ascii characters (which I can understand: indeed it expects there graffiti input...).
I tried to trick the machine in copying and pasting my combination, but this don't work.

Would you expand ITMobile to support this kind of input? (or does it work right now and what did I miss?)

I believe
- this mustn't be too complicated to add
- this brings you practically all the external keyboard community, everyone here and there wishing to remap some accentuated characters or the position of whichever command function...

In a word what I want is, when I type ^u, ITMobile "expands" it to ű without space...

If this works, I register *immediately*!!

(ah, one last thing: I didn't find (yet) the keyboard way to confirm one expansion selection. I did find that the arrow keys jump from one alternative to the other, but not how to validate the right one. Maybe it's again one of my bad keyboard tricks :-( -by the way, it's a ThinkOutside device, which for everything else is OK...)
