What a lovely idea

"The Tablet PC product is not worth more than $25 because you did all the code for it when you wrote the Pocket PC version because the programming APIs and Visual Studio IDEs are identical. In fact the tablet PC code is simpler because it is just an exe file."

Oh, Bobby... if it worked like that then Microsoft Windows itself would be cheaper with each upgrade ;-) The value of software is whatever you can get someone to pay for it. If the Pocket PC version /did/ run with no changes on Tablet, it still wouldn't be free to Tablet users. And it doesn't run with no changes. I'm pretty sure that the Pocket PC guys didn't just see a version with no spacebar! ;-)

Now if the PalmOS emulator gets turned over to a free licence (it's currently only legal for development), Textware might have a bit of a problem... to be serious, I suppose that the old-Palm free Fitaly is only licensed for use in real PDAs.

Fitaly is a matter of making money by selling the programmed incarnation of a few good ideas, and one of the difficulties is that people may be able to take the ideas without buying the program... that's what patents are for, though, and Textware has 'em!

I think they should set the price in €. The US$ is way low and a lot of people wouldn't notice how much more they were paying until too late ;-)
