Hi Ken,

It sounds like you need a clipboard with multiple drawers.

To accommodate this, we could create

‹copy1› ... ‹copy10›
‹paste1› ... ‹paste10›

macros that would allow you to have 10 drawers where to store temporary text.

‹copyN› would copy the selected text to the Nth drawer.
‹pasteN› would paste from the Nth drawer.

Is that what you are looking for?
