High-resolution number screen

I have been an incredibly satisfied user of FITALY since I got my first Palm, a IIIx3, in 2001. I recently switched to a Palm Tungsten E2 and noticed that the resolution on the popup number screen is still very jagged. But when I installed the same software on a client's E2 yesterday, the number screen was high-resolution. What setting do I choose so that the numbers are high-resolution on my own E2? Thanks.
